Two minute read.

Life organizes itself around one’s Heart. And, if we miss the opportunities that come our way, what’s next? More than we might have imagined. In Matthew 6:21 Jesus says; For where your treasure is, there your Heart will be also.

Each of us has a Treasure or two, right?

Dr. Dallas Willard shared this (and of course sharing with others gives us at times a chance to consider what here-to-fore we may have missed.). Take a listen.

Understanding is the basis of care.

What you would take care of,  you must first understand.

If we care about our Spiritual core – our Heart…we must understand it.

From one thought, became 3 critical sentences, (and their importance cannot be pushed aside). The Heart, Will, and Spirit has been called the, (check this out) the executive center of a human life. Wow!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him. and he will make straight our paths.(Proverbs 3:5-6)

Rather than trust our Hearts, we’re called to Commit our Hearts. This Trusting part isn’t easy for most of us is it? God knows where we are applying this issue of the Heart.

Jim Palmer in his book – Wide Open Spaces writes:

There are times when you have to disentangle God from religion and Jesus  from Christianity to find the truth.

You and I live in such a time as this right now.  I’m not telling you to do something outside your Comfort Zone (At least not yet!) The time will come  though. What I am challenging US to do is simple:

Connect with a friend and share some of what we have been talking about through the Heart Of The Matter.

It will change you in some way, I guarantee you!
