2 minute read.

Let’s look at these 3 words (Path, Place, and Preparation) we mentioned at the ending of my last blog post.

So Jesus responds – I am the way

The relationship between life and movement is found in Jesus!

NEW LIFE according to Jesus is identified by:

A Path that leads to a Place that HE is Preparing as Seekers become Followers.

The Path – a journey that continually leads and connects us to God. We access this Path through an ongoing encounter with this Jesus. Think of it like this; Today Transforms Tomorrow.

Somehow we have to keep reminding ourselves that we will not find “Religion 101” on this Path. The Path  doesn’t invite us to study Abstract Theology. It calls us to measure ourselves against the life of Jesus.

The Place isn’t just Heaven, it’s Heaven on Earth right now!

God isn’t waiting on us to come to Him, in Jesus He sent Himself to us. That should tell all of us something. This World, this Place we inhabit is significant to God reconciling all things to Himself!

This is very important – in The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls us – Salt and Light. Jesus believes we carry a glimpse of what life is meant to be.

When we follow Jesus, we show God at work NOW, today. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

The Preparation doesn’t begin at the Pearly Gates. It begins where we are, as we are, when we are ready, like today!

Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch in their book – The Shaping of Things to Come write about a concept called – a Prevenient Grace.

“The confidence that God goes before us, preventing (Preparing) our Participation in His work.”

The more we are on the Path in Place with God (check this out)

  • The more He Prepares us to give away His Grace to others
  • The more He Prepares us to Include not Exclude people
  • The more He Prepares us to be a Community within a Community not a Religious Sub-Culture
  • The more He Prepares You and Me, the more we will offer a Life

    Alternative to the status quo.
