Two minute read.

Greetings Friends,

I took several weeks off as Lynda and I spent a wonderful time in Tucson, Arizona to be with all four of the Hansen crew!

This past Sunday at Life Community Church I shared with the people who were with us at LCC and those who connected with us online. I spoke of this opening title; The Heart of the Matter.

At LCC, we began early, to talk about the depth of our Spiritual Hearts. And, have continued year in and year out, to spend time with our people to challenge all of us to grasp that the Heart is best understood as the Center and Core of Life.

What it means to be human seems to have become so foreign to us at times that God’s original intention became lost to us.

The transformation God seeks to bring into our lives is nothing less than making us fully human.

Many people, be they Christians or Non-Christians, have lost a lot of time considering their Center and Core of Life. How about you and me? Where are we?

The issue for us is to understand the content God has produced for us as we walk upon this Earth He has given us. Do we have time to do just that? Let’s see.

The return to the authentic you can only be accomplished from the Inside-Out. How we live our lives is simply an expression of WHO we are!

Matthew Riley writes; We change and in so doing define our lives.

Jesus, in Matthew 7:13-14, told us; You guys know the gate; it’s me. You guys know where to find the road of life. Trust what you know about God.

It’s interesting that Jesus uses the word know. The Hebrews in the Old Testament and Christians in the New Testament would have thought to know what was actually in real time to experience.

Knowing to us in the West is simply about Knowledge. Yet what Jesus meant was a relationship trusting in Him. He is boldly stating, release control of your life (think Heart, think Core, think Life).

We need a God like this. A God who has made up His mind that He can be trusted with my heart, with your heart.

He is in effect saying; give up on your self-conscious effort to be good enough! And allow ourselves to be loved by God as we are, not as we will be.
