2 minute read.

During the various series we’ve planned at Life Community Church for 2022, we have been able to challenge each of us to look at where they are with the 8 Dimensions of Life.

Those dimensions are: Physical, Social, Mental, Spiritual, Emotional, Financial, Occupation, and Environment

In each of these, you and I should be focusing how our lives are impacted dimensionally around those eight.

Let’s try that first one; Physical. And, let’s use this word we are hearing so much about; Wellness. Who doesn’t want to be “well”?

The Wellness Industry in America profited $3,294 billion in 2021. It will more than double that number in the next seven years.

My concern as a pastor is, will we be able to apply wellness to all of the 8 Dimensions of Life? I expect some will others will not. We Americans like to use the freedom card because we can.

If there is wonder to our life, how would you and I know how to pursue this wonder?

More than likely it will take time, that’s for sure. And inside of that time, we’ll need to push forward because most people will be surprised that we are getting serious about finding the wonder of life.

Lynda and I were speaking with a friend recently. We were anxious to hear what was going on in her life. She began by talking about other people and the problems they had. We listened and yet heard absolutely not a word about herself. It was as if she had nothing to say about the wonder of life.

This individual acted as if all was well but had nothing to say about it. She had no way to pursue her wonder of life because life for some reason was already passing her bye. There was too much already HAPPENING in her life.

Wellness is the quality or state of being in good health. When we are there, we are attempting to understand; how does this connect with those 8 Dimension of Life.

In the Western Hemisphere we live in, we’ve become used to playing with our freedom rather than honoring it.

Sociologist for some time have known that in the West we tend toward living by DOING not BEING. There is a huge difference with these two words as they are lived out.

I think most people choose Doing because we think Doing puts us in control. Doing can become about ME, it’s my CHOICE BY GOD!

I bring this up because it matters for us all. And I leave that with you until we return to finish this post next week.

Thank you for taking the time to share this with others.

Until we meet again.
