2-minute read.

Our God has a lot to unpack into each and every one of us. That is why, for all of us, God continues focusing on those who are ready.

Now, seriously, this does not mean that God has let go of you or me or for that matter anyone else. I am in my late 60’s, and God seems more and more ready to get me out into the fray. So, please, never give up on this God who Created you, Cares for you, and Calls for you day by day. WHY? Because you were Born!

God’s invitation, where ever you are, will always be joining God in changing the World where you are. And you and I are needed, according to God. If you don’t believe it, hang around and watch what will happen.

What stops us from BEING Us? You and I can spend a lot of time trying to understand the answer here. But the answer is simple. The common theme is TIME.

AVOIDING LIFE

We do avoid life, no doubt about that. Jesus witnessed our “busyness” You’re still trying to build bigger barns (Luke 12:16-21). Alongside being a “Good Christian” there is still “this life”, right?

In his book The Naked Now: Learning To See As the Mystics See Father Richard Rohr shares a new software for processing the really big question of life. God’s not somewhere else, detached from us. He is here with us, calling us to join Him.

Immanuel….God with us, isn’t just a line on a Christmas card.

It is an ongoing Trinitarian reality. And most importantly, it’s God’s idea for all of His creation. And it (All of Life) begins with one simple word. We have to know Who We Are to know Where To Go.

Transitions are not just events, they are Markers laid down ahead of us as we move day by day. There are also Milestones in the ongoing life God has given us. Those miles of stones are there for a reason, keep moving forward!

There are also Bridges that lead us into Newness of Life. There are times when we want to be quiet. We’ve all turned around to look back to see-how far have we gone?

At times like those God reveals Himself to Inspire Trust. He literally hides himself to see where we are in the building of Faith!

Do we truly love this God who challenges us in so many ways?

Find a Bible and open up to the Gospel of Luke 9:23-25.

Read it, then read it again, and then note what you are hearing from Jesus.

Then, take about 5 minutes to allow what you have come to hear and see.

And before you walk away, tell this God, this Jesus what that reading meant to you.

Hey, I’ll get the next Post out on Thursday.

Love you guys,

Mike
