You can’t PLAN your way into a Living Faith, but you can PREPARE yourself for a Living Faith. We can plan to do a lot of things, but they’ll never get done without Preparation.
Living Faith isn’t something one pencils in, It’s a ReNewed life you consecrate with God and set apart to allow Him to work into your heart.
As the late Dallas Willard liked to say:
“You cannot make this something it isn’t.”
Living Faith is not about one more thing the church wants us to DO! It is the power to live a new life in a World largely disconnected from God.
Think of it like this; It’s about BEING who you are, which identifies what you choose.
I’m not responsible to get to Heaven, yet I am responsible to bring Heaven to Earth. A Divine encounter changes you and me from the Inside to the Outside. Our lives are headed somewhere on Purpose. We can exhaust ourselves trying to Close The Gaps in our lives that we have created for ourselves.
As one therapist noted; Control is our agenda, not God’s
We possess a Heart, a Desire for the Spiritual because God built it into our lives. We have a Desire from God to have our Soul redeemed and restored by God. All the World can offer us is temporary, it never fully satisfies us.
We know what it’s like to surrender, you and I have surrendered countless times. And as we conclude this fourth piece in Why Are We Here? think about this;
Measuring Faith as Living Faith seems to me to be a bit different.
At Life Community Church we have been moving for some time now attempting to understand the depth inside of us. That depth is God’s love for you and me. While we may already know this to be true, we challenge ourselves to use this statement daily.
Dear God, I Trust You With Me.
