Three words can easily be found inside our hearts and minds.
- Unconnected…….Seeking to know More!
- Disconnected……Struggling for Answers!
- Misconnected……Searching for a fresh Vision!
The common denominator we all share is we are alive and we desperately want to connect at some level with the Truth of Life.
As we unpack 3 Major Components, we will take a closer look at:
- Power
- Living
- Faith
POWER
The word Power is used 373 times in the Old and New Testaments. POWER is understood as a Source outside of ourselves. Modern Man’s mantra was – Knowledge is Power, Frances Bacon.
I mean, haven’t we arrived? Why do we need anything outside of our world? One commentator has said: The great question of our day is – What do we Want?
The power outside ourselves is only available to those who want it. As we think ahead, we often miss the Blank Lines that are there. Faith is a decision to trust, not just when it’s going great.
We see the power outside ourselves and only available to those who want it – here in Acts 1: 4 and 8. You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you….
The source of power is God himself in the person of the Holy Spirit. What does the Holy Spirit do for us?
- Helps us develop our relationship with God
- Assures that God is in our lives
- Comforts us in our journey
- Convinces us in our direction for living
Without the Holy Spirit we cannot understand Christianity as the Holy Spirit brings the Wisdom and Revelation we need for living.
When we look through Act 2:42-47 they saw a difference in these first followers of Christ. Those people got plugged into the SOURCE! They experienced radical LIFE TRANSFORMATION and it still happens!
