Everyone has an Identity, but not everyone knows who they are. We attempt to understand where we are moving, but that does not work for many. This isn’t a problem for a few misguided folks; it’s more like an epidemic in America!
Jesus’ experiment: He chose 12 men, and for 3 years, they journeyed through life together. And from those 12 came unknown men and women to share Jesus’ thoughts, actions, and life.
Question: Do you have a group with which you can build personal identities on a similar journey?
You and I learn who we are in the group that joins us. That begins an opportunity for anyone Jesus has touched to move out and make a difference. Think about Identification and Expectation. Did you know that by the time you are 13 you have already established much of your IDENTITY.
During our time to connect within the group, we start what we refer to as a CRISIS. While the CRISIS may continue, Jesus helps us along the way.
“Yet to all who received him, to all who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12
Allow me to leave you with this reality:
You learn who you are in the company of others. Think about that and remember – each day is an opportunity. Don’t miss it!
