Two-minute read.
Everyone has an Identity, but not everyone knows who they are.
God identifies all who come to Him.
Let’s look at what it means for an individual to get rescued. Healthiness is a primary indicator of success in life. We can look at this point to begin understanding the health which becomes wholistic; take a look at these 9 words.
Spiritual * Emotional * Psychological * Physical * Social * Mental * Relational * Intellectual * Soulful *
That my friends, is a lot to deal with, until Jesus shares this piece with us.
The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have to the full.
The 2nd Statement in our MY INDENTITY – Redeemed by Jesus Christ. Redemption is about being Rescued. Why do you and I need to be rescued?
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one Man and death through sin, in this way, death came to all Man because all sinned.
Isaiah promised the Messiah to heal the brokenhearted. God is speaking here. In Hebrew let shabar, leb = Heart and shabar = Broken. What troubles us comes from a broken heart. In the New Testament, redemption is always about the purchasing back of something that has been lost.
“The Gospel is about Resurrection, not an improvement adjustment, but the breaking in of a completely new life.”
One’s relationship with God was and is primary to life and to IDENTITY. Again, Jesus wasn’t concerned about getting us to Heaven later. Jesus was interested in getting us re-connected to God right NOW!
The conflict Jesus engaged was between two ways of BEING. One which organized life around the Security of Self. The other around the Life God offers, a life grounded in the SPIRIT! It was the Power of the Holy Spirit that Resurrected Jesus from the grave.
A dead Savior was no value to a World in need of LIFE!
You want to know why people aren’t into Church, Religious Faith, the Bible, and God. Because most of the people have little understanding around what it means to have the IDENTITY!
Many Christians have yet to experience the POWER of the SPIRIT of GOD.
