2 minute read.
This past Sunday I challenged myself and our folks at Life Community to take some time to CONSIDER. Do you take time to CONSIDER?
Life can get so busy that it’s easy to forget to CONSIDER! Exceptions are of course there if we are not too busy to see them.
How often in this last week have you and I stopped to consider matters of importance? Like the importance of the wonder of life.
I noted also on Sunday to encourage us at LCC to give ourselves permission to look inside of ourselves, specifically into our Hearts and our Minds.
I have close friends who remind me to stop, look, and listen. and I have friends who I read, like Father Richard Rohr who wrote this sentence worth considering;
“We need a strong container to hold the contents and contradictions that arrive as we grow in life.”
There’s 18 words worth considering!
I believe that God has given each of us a life of wonder to embrace.
I like that word embrace. It brings to my mind to receive, to accept.
Earlier in 2022 we shared several messages where we talked about a Life of Legitimacy and Connecting Well and Being Rooted in Life and Life Giving Life.
In a letter to the Colossians Paul wrote about who Jesus is and how you and I can live like Jesus. Check this out:
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him…. (Colossians 2:6-7a)
Okay, I love that social group we call Seekers. I never tire chatting it up with Seekers because most of them seem to me to be serious about Jesus.
As the Sociologist Wade Clark Roof noted in his book A Generation of Seekers;
“I believe we are all spiritual seekers, with spiritual questions looking for spiritual answers, trying to fill a spiritual void, We are looking for purpose and meaning in our lives.”
To seek is to pay attention to your Spiritual Life. Or, as Jesus said in Mark 1 “The time has come, he said. The kingdom of God is near. RETHINK the way you’ve been THINKING.”
Please forgive me for removing the actual word repent in Mark 1:15.
I am not on the downward path to heresy but did want to explain the word repent in modern day English.
And with that I shall bid you farewell for now until we meet again to consider the final ending to these posts on The Wonder Of Life!
