2 minute read.

Thank you for continuing to hang with this 3 part blog which we are concluding today.

That word; Wonder. I wonder if we allow ourselves the opportunity to run into what it means to Wonder?

That word, according to the primary encyclopedia folks comes down to this statement : Rapt attention at something awesomely new to one’s experience.

I love those 9 words, brought together, for you and me, to consider. I hope y’all like the comma’s as they creates a climax for us. These aren’t just words they are words with depth of meaning.

Blaise Pascal, the French Mathematician and Philosopher writes :

We have a God shaped void in our lives that can only be filled by God.

When we become Seekers we become serious about the Spiritual dimensions of life, or more specific, we become rapt with attention at something awesomely new to one’s experience.

Today many who pursue God, pursue God in order to get to Heaven

James Emory White puts it like this;

It is unfair to want whatever it is you find to complement your lifestyle rather than change it. That’s like saying, “I’d like to buy twenty dollars worth of God.”

Read through that again, slowly and see if White’s point makes sense to your life? Here’s how Jesus dealt with White’s thoughts.

Jesus is sharing some fantastic options we should consider here in Matthew 11:28-30 he says:

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me.

Get away with me and you’ll recover your life.

I’ll show you how to take a real rest.

Walk with me and work with me, watch how I do it.

Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

I’ll not lay anything heavy or ill fitting on you.

Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.

Would we trust this Jesus with us? With our lives?

Pursuing Jesus isn’t True because it Works; it Works because it is True!

What if He truly is, The Wonder of Life

I believe him to be just that

Until we meet again,

MC
