2 minute read.

I have a question; Where Are We Headed? Which leads to another question: How Will We Get There?

Both questions can be, no, that’s wrong, both questions SHOULD be considered once every three to four months. That is, if we are not just daydreaming our time away.

These two questions are critical to all of us. And lately, I’ve thought how much more God must know just how crucial our asking can make a difference in our lives.

In the Wisdom Literature of the Old Testament, the Book of Proverbs 16:16 we find this wisdom.

How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

The commentary here notes that wisdom and understanding are two words you and I should pay attention to because these are words that can change the world we live in and the Community we pursue with others.

How important is this? EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, unless we are still spending the lion share of our lives pretending to someday get serious.

I saw this quote years ago but failed to find the author.

Until one is determined, one cannot hope to live a determined life.

Ouch! Believe you me, those 12 words are a challenge to all of us as well as our lives moving forward.

Gabe Lyons from Q-Ideas.org, puts it this way:

The Christian has a calling and a responsibility to think, work, and live in terms of how the world ought to be.”

Life Community is going to jump on board the Q-Idea.org group this Fall. More about that in early September.

But here’s the deal with wisdom and understanding. We are never going to connect with these words deeply in our Hearts and Minds until we get serious about the God who created us.

On the upcoming Blog Post entitled; A Disturber of Assumptions,

we are going to see how Jesus felt about living a determined life.

Tomorrow can be different than today because it is headed somewhere.

I hope you’ll continue to follow where we are headed.

Blessings,

Pastor Mike
