Two minute read.

Do we stop, and I mean, do we ever stop to look INWARD as we continue on the journey of life? I hope so because all of us; if we are open to life and living need to stop in order to consider what we are doing.

I hope we stop to look and in seeing we move into that which calls us forth. We knew it was somewhere out there, this God, but what do we know of this God?

May I hazard a guess for many of us? Those who get stuck in life run along thinking two things:

How did I get here?

How can I get back to who I truly long to be, the person God has called me to be?

I think it is true, that those among us, those who call themselves Christians, (and at times I have placed myself with these Christians) have tried and found themselves far from the truth of what it means according to Jesus Christ.

In 1995 when I was 41 years old a group of folks began a movement they called Trueface. More about this as we move forward into this title; Why Are We Here?

In 2011 three men; John Lynch, Bruce McNicol, and Bill Thrall wrote a book; The CURE.

Andrew Farley who wrote The Naked Gospel and God Without Religion said this about Trueface and The CURE.

“The CURE reveals how you can stop pretending to be a “good Christian and start naturally acting like who you are in Jesus Christ. This masterpiece on the believer’s new identity is passionate, creative, and scriptural. It’s everything you want in a book – it leads you straight to God’s truth, and you have an incredible time along the way!”

For me and Life Community we are going to continue to return to The CURE these weeks, months, and years as we consider: Why Are We Here?

If I am right, you and I will find something we have longed for from the day we were born. And that is no lie!

I pray a number of you will stay through this as we consider a number of opportunities to change how we live a life of abundance.

If pursuing the life of God is possible, join us as we work through how to let go and become the you God has created you to be.
