2 minute read.

Hello friends. Indulge me as I spend one more post wrapped around

What Matters…..

One of the most remarkable things that Life Community Church has been able to accomplish is so simple that at times we miss it in our fellowship.

LCC is a Safe Place for anyone who happens by in order to Explore the Questions and Challenges of Life.

But what is so true of who we are is this idea that there is more to life than we’ve Imagined.

In fact, Imagination isn’t just something you and I attempt to bring into being. Imagination is a gift of grace from God.

At LCC we talk a lot about Imagination because there are a lot of people who refuse to allow God into their hearts and minds where God is at work.

You and I have a tendency to try some of what God is giving us to see if God is doing us a solid. I believe everyone does it this way. Well, at least I have at times. God can take it because God is confidently in love with us.

I like Father Richard Rohr’s thought here; We do not think ourselves into a new way of living but we live ourselves into a new way of thinking.

That’s exactly why you and I are built by God to Experience Life Itself, not just read about it from others.

I like this statement from Oscar Wilde; Experience is the hardest teacher; it gives you the test first and the lesson afterward. Wow, how I needed Brother Wilde in the earlier days of my life!

My approach in these last ten years has been to take a look back to reconnect with my Past in order to plan for the Future. Of course, all of this is done in the Present

Looking back, looking forward, we must not miss today because today is all we are certain of. Or as Jonathan Swift tells us; May you live all the days of your life. But how is that done best?

Indeed, many of us have missed a lot of the days of our lives. Is that still a Soap Opera? God help us!

If we are going to get What Matters….. I’d recommend a slow read within the Gospels focused on Jesus.

His words are compelling beyond belief. His progressiveness regarding the life He lived was and is profound. His words created worlds for us to explore.

Take a look and see what you may find and locate What Matters In Our Lives!
